1. I see from some suppliers catalogs and other information that there is a special Luggage Rack Bracket for the 180A and 400A. When I search the parts catalogs, it shows the 180A and 400B but does not mention the 400A. Does anyone have a Ford reference that says the 400A really has the 180A bracket? 2. If it does share the 180A bracket, does anyone have the dimensions of the linkages to make it work right? The linkages that are supplied with the luggage rack only allows it to move 90 degrees and the 180A bracket needs a lot more to make it come out level. The parts book does list a special set of linkages for the 180A. I played with a 180A bracket today and have come up with linkage dimensions but am curious how close I got. Thanks John

The Deluxe Phaeton luggage rack carrier (and brackets) are unique to that body style. They were never intended for use on the A-400. Some individuals have used the brackets in combination with the Deluxe Roadster carrier in order to move the rack closer to the back of the body. As you have noted, this changes the required lengths for the links. The correct luggage carrier rack is the same as the one used on the Deluxe Roadster. Of course, its your car and you can build it any way you like it.

Thanks for the information. It is just as I thought but couldn't verify it. I have the standard trunk rack on my car right now. You saved me a few bucks.
