I purchased my wood kit from Steve Cannon and, other than the problem I'm having with the quarter window pieces I've had absolutely no problems but in trying to slip the curved quarter window wood pieces into place but they just will not fit. Have any of you that have replaced these pieces had similar problems and, if so, how have tou resolved the problem. Any suggestions would be very much appreciated. Thanks. Jim Rydelius

If the sheet metal isn't removed from the inside body frame it does create a problem because of the curvature. The way I did it was to have Steve make me pieces that were split down the middle. Then I could insert them one at a time thru the middle slot. Using some glue and screws, I put them back together in place. John

John, Thanks very much, John, for the tip. It seems to be a very clever solution and will probably be the path I follow except that I already have the wood as Steve cut it so will try "splitting" the pieces with my band saw. Once I cut them, I'll probably replace the width of the saw kerf that I make in the process with a thin strip of wood, then, slip them up and into place with screws and glue as you describe. By the way, did you glue and screw the pieces together where Steve provides the "fingerjoint"?
