Subject: leaking gas tank outlet

The cast iron outlet at the bottom of the tank has deteriorated threads, so that gas leaks from the junction between the outlet and the brass fuel shutoff valve. Chasing the threads, teflon tape and Permatex thread sealant all failed. Has anybody found a Helicoil or bushing that works?
