The windshield frame is chrome plated on the exterier. Is all of the frame that is inside painted black? Is there any part of the frame that is inside that should be left chrome plated?

My opinion is that the inside parts of the windshield frame including the wind deflector was painted brown to blend with the walnut wood graining all around it. If any parts were left chrome plated, it would include the wiper bracket and perhaps the swing arm brackets. Those with original, unrestored windshield frames should respond to this question.

I have never seen an original windshield frame that was not satin black on the entire backside of the frame. Only the face had visible chrome plating.
