Some clevis pins should always be installed in a certain direction, but this is dictated by their accessibility. The rear brake rod attachment to the clevises comes to mind as well as the brake rod that attaches to the emergency brake handle. Other than that type of situation, there is not a right or wrong way to install the clevis pins. With that being said, I think many judges appreciate seeing the heads of the pins facing a uniform direction such as toward the center of the chassis. However, I have not heard of judges deducting points for the direction of the clevis pins.
