Subject: #1 metal top bow

When I put my top bow in between the top irons it fits real tight , so tight that it forces the arch to go up quite a bit .

Is this normal ? It ends up being higher than I think it should be . Thanks in advance , Dan

No this is not normal. If it fits that tight you have a problem of the distance between the top rails being too short or the folding top irons are bent in. Attached is the #1 bow print. The dimensions are hard to read but the overall length of the bow is 55 1/4 inches.

Thanks Bill . I measured my bow and the dimension is 55 1/4 inches as it should be . I believe someone welded

some new pieces on where the screw holes are . I don't believe it is correct . The dimension on the vertical piece with the screw hole outside to out side is 53 3/4 inches . I think this might be too wide but not sure . This I measured with the bow out of the car .
