Ok. For the final time. Lets put this to rest. I need a quick answer as I am going to a painter in the next couple of days. I have an older copy of an A-400 group news letter that clearly says the drop down bracket on the steering column is black. I have talked to several other model A people who also say that the bracket is black, however, I noticed today that they judging standards says that it is painted lower body color. Whats gives? Thanks for your time.

Here is a photo from John Pages A400. It is original and only has about 9000 miles on it. There has been no repaintingof the body or the interior. I hope this answers you question.
