Subject: A400 Door latch spring

The spring on my passenger side door snapped - at least I think it did because the door no longer stays closed. When I look for a replacement spring there is nothing listed for a 31 Model A. Has anyone else had this problem and how did you solve it? Thanks very much. Don

Hi Don:

I assume that you are referring to the door latch striker spring which to the best of my knowledge is not available in reproduction form. You might be able to find a generic spring that will work or perhaps pirate one from a spare latch assembly. Sorry that I can't be of more help.

That is the same as 33-34.Available from Bob Drake. Couldn't readily put my hands on his catalogue.They are not as good as the originals. You may find one at a flea market. Watch for vendors with spring assortments.

Don I have some good originals they fit a lot better and last longer then the repo`s do. If I can help let me know 253- 833- 9364 31avicky@comcast .net
