I found a source of 1 1/8" diameter phenolic rods. They are 6" long leftover scraps from someones project. The B-402206 was originally made from phenolic rods. I have several rods and can make some bumpers. The rods are grade LE which is the "best" grade for machining and durability. I made a few of the bumpers and found that they were more yellowish than the originals. They are somewhat porous so I was able to use a fabric dye to make the color closer to the original color. Here is a picture of a few that I made. I have included a piece of an original bumper in the picture to compare the color. If there is any interest I can make some more and make them available to the 400-A owners.

Bob, I wish to be on the list to purchase the top bumpers when you make another production run. Thank you very much for making these special parts. Don

Hi Bob,
We've been waiting for this. Great work. I definitely want to be included on the list to purchase a set. I would even take two if they were available so as to have replacements "down the road".

I have had an opportunity to examine the "top bumpers" which Bob is making and, as those of us who know Bob have come to expect, they are indeed first class.
Bob - thanks for taking the initiative to create parts which are otherwise not available! Timothy

Sorry for the delay. I have sold all of the bumper that I have made. I
am not sure when or if I will be making more. If I do make some more I
will post on this message board.
