I have an A400 with a 10 leaf rear spring and a 190A (Victoria) with an 8 leaf rear spring. Shouldn't the A400 also have an 8 leaf rear spring?? Thanks Geraldfdewitt@hotmail.com

The Victoria and Convertible Sedan used the same rear spring which was 8 leaf spring (A-5560-B).

Tim, Is it possiable to make a Eight leaf rear spring out of an Ten leaf rear spring? Thanks, Jim

Yes.  Spring leafs are numbered from the bottom to the top.  In order to change a 10 leaf spring to an 8 leaf spring, merely take out leaf  No. 7 and No. 9.  The spring clamp is the same for both the 10 and 8 leaf spring.
