Has anyone installed one yet and how do they compare to the original W/Shield frame. What are your thoughts. Thanks, Jim

Brent Terry had one on the A400 he displayed at Hershey. Why don't you contact him and talk about the issues. There are some differences in them and original but....all-in-all a tremendous repo job!

I have one of the reproduction frames by Gene.
They are very good and I do not see a reason why they should not fit and work. I have not installed mine yet.
The most visible difference is the reproduction brackets for the slide arms. He is using A&L 's and they are a bit different from original, or at least what was on my original 68C frame. The side profile of the edges is also slightly different and tough to see without an original next to it. The rivet heads of the rivets holding the slide arm brackets are different than what is on my original, but there may be two variations. The wiper bracket is also the reproduction bracket and is most noticable when you have the original next to it. The wiper bracket is hard to see when installed. There are a few other very minor items that dissappear when you put the rubber on and install the frame. The whole frame is done in bright nickel as opposed to the correct dull nickel with the face being the only buffed area. Since the back side is powder coated in satin black that is not an issue.
The only standout parts that a perfectionist would need to address are the slide arm brackets and the wiper brackets. I believe you can arrange to have original parts used if you have them to give Gene.
I doubt many would ever know you have a reproduction frame on the car.
I checked the sizing by laying my original frame over the repro and I have to say it was right on, very accurately made.
The other surprising part is the frames are complete except for glass. Gene includes the tools and two thicknesses of setting material and even the rubber mallot you need.
