I too am the prode owner of a tired but restorable 400A Convertable sedan, I was fortunate in that I purchased a lot of additional parts with the car. I have an extra pair of doors for my car that I will be selling once I look over everything to see what I have and what I will not need. I believe I could help you with your missing door if you can wait a little while.
Also I know where an extra set of top irons are if you need them for your car as well.
If your interested we could share stories during the restoration process.

I really need a drivers door soon, My car was cut into peices in the 50's and has not been together since.
We have the car up on a frame and have it tacked together, but we can not proceed until I get a drivers door. It does not have to be a perfect door, we just need the door to square up the car and finish fabricating all the missing parts.
I have attached a few picture so you can see where we are in the process.
I am interested in top irons, that is our next step
Do you know where you can get wood top bows?

Hi, I wish I could help.
When I first had my A400 (1964), I drove it to a Model A event in unrestored shape. It had a big gash in the left side door. A stranger walked up and said "I have something you need for this car!" I said, "What?" He replied, "A left side door."
It was Doc Maguire, owner of the lowest numbered A400 (#55) in the A400 Group at that time. I went to his house and he helped me put the door on my car, installing the window, latches, etc. It cost me $15, which was a lot of expense for a car that cost $100. But I've come to appreciate the value. Doc kept the original, damaged one.
Doc died a few years ago and the car went to his son, George.
Jim, you are correct the rear of the car is off a totalled victoria. To be very honest my car started life as the yellow quarter you see in the pictures, thats all I had to start this car. I have been piecing the rest together over the last few years. I will post some rear pictures soon, we are still fabricating the rear section of the car to fit the frame its on. Its not going to be stock, but it sure will be interesting looking. I am sure it will cause a few people to do a little head scratching.
