Subject: Color of the Top Rails

I would like to know if the color of the top rails, the part that the top sits on, is body color or trim.

In The Restorer Vol 19-2, p 5 and 20-2, p 8 is an A400 on which the upper outside part of the top rail is painted the trim color. These photos were taken contemporary with the time. I have never seen a surviving A400 with this paint pattern. Note: this car also has the trim color on the lower moulding!

Hi, we own #1611 and the top rails are painted the trim color along the outer edge. It tapers as it approaches the windshield post. The car appears to have been originally painted 'aqua' with a greyish green trim color. I have not found any trim color on the bottom rail so far.
