Hi,

I have made some rubber parts for Model A Cabriolets. One of the parts is also used on the 400A. I have been contacted by Tim O'Brien and he informed me that there are other parts that are needed. He sent be drawing of 4 parts, B68366, B402206, B402262 and B402270. I am going to try to make them if I can. I have already started on the B68366 and should have some soon. It is slightly different than the ones I made for the 68C. It is possible that the ones I made for the 68C were A68366 but I do not have that drawing so I can not be sure. I am going to try to include a drawing of the 2 versions. The one on the left is the one I made for the 68C. The one on the right is the drawing I got from Tim. I try to get as close to the original part as I can so it takes time for me to make the parts.

Nice web site. I always wanted a 400A but could not find one so I got a Cabriolet (next best thing).

OK, I just finished the first batch and here is a picture. The one on the left is the first style I made coping the 68C bumper Tom loaned me. The one on the right is per the drawing Tim sent me. Anyone have any preferences. I already have many of the ones on the left, I guess I could supply both and let you choose. Now on to the next part. Bob

The windshield header bumper (A-68638) depicted on the right side is the correct part for the A-400. Would like your address and price for a set of three and your address. The part you made appears to be excellent.

I have no information on part number B-68366. What is this part?

Part number B-492206 Top Assy Body Bumper is also the piece used for the A-400. However, it was made from a hard red fibre rather than a rubber product.

Part number B-402262 Roof Rail to Slat iron Bumper and B-402270 Top Bow No. 2 to Body Bumper were also used on the A-400. Poor reproductions have been made in the past but correct reproductions of these two items would be an invaluable resource for the restorer. If you make them, put me on your buying list.

For those members unfamiliar with part numbers, the prefix "B" is applicable for the B-400.

Tim, Sorry I miss typed the number it is B68638. I am working on the other parts. I believe that I can make the red bumper using very hard rubber. I could also use plastic but that would likely not hold up. I e-mailed you but it was returned. I will try again. Bob
