The total restoration of my A400 is progressing quiet well and I have used the info from this site to no end, thanks. I gave my painter instructions and pictures on how the mouldings and reveals are painted and he raised a question about where the reveal colour ends. After checking a number of photo's I have found that the reveal colour ends in the crease around the reveal or on other photo's the colour is painted past the crease and ends level with the plane of the door and body. Does anyone know which is correct?
Thanks
Alan
I believe the break between the primary and secondary colors is always at the crease. See the newsletter from February 1975 and July 1977 for the variations. With style A, the color break follows the crease at the upper edge of the wide moulding and down the gas tank welting to the narrower moulding. The color break around the reveals is the same in all three styles.
